Until now there have been no standards set for the building and maintenance of snowparks in Swiss ski resorts. Skiers and snowboarders frequently misjudge their own abilities and the difficulty of jumps and obstacles. If these are not built properly it can result in serious injuries. Nestlé Waters accounts for almost ten per cent of the Nestlé Group’s consolidated sales. It dominates the global market in drinking water. The Swiss-based concern has stressed its responsibility towards the sustainable use of water resources. Minimum wage – swissinfo

Swiss voters are to have the final say on whether the right to a minimum wage should be written into the constitution. The Trade Union Federation has handed in an initiative calling for a minimum wage of SFr4,000 ($4,350) per month, triple the European average. Swiss employers are against the proposal.
