This January the 9th Winter Raid took place. The three and a half day vintage car rally started in St Moritz and moved on to Kitzbühel in Tyrol and the Bavarian Alps. With almost 60 participating automobiles from all time periods, Winter Raid is Switzerland’s largest event of its kind. (Michele Andina, swissinfo.ch)

Voters are to have the final say on whether the right to a minimum wage should be written into the constitution. The Trade Union Federation has handed in an initiative calling for a minimum wage of SFr4,000 ($4,350) per month, triple the European average.

Nestlé Waters accounts for almost ten per cent of the Nestlé Group’s consolidated sales. It dominates the global market in drinking water. The Swiss-based concern has stressed its responsibility towards the sustainable use of water resources.
